COORDINATION MEETING IN MILAN, ITALY, 7th of October, 2022

On the 7th and 8th of October, 2022, Rectors and delegates of the partner Universities from Central Asia that gave birth to the HARMONEE three-year project, gathered in Milan, hosted by the University of Milan.

The Vice-Rector for Internationalization, prof. ssa Antonella Baldi, welcome the guests in the prestigious Sala di Rappresentanza, presenting the strategy that the University of Milan is implementing in order to become, everyday, more attractive and competitive at European and worldwide level, without forgetting its prestigious history.

Prof. Claudio Colosio, coordinator of the consortium, indicated the medium and long term goals of the Erasmus project, that has already passed its first half. The main outcome is very ambitious, aiming HARMONEE at fostering, in the partner universities, the launch of the Master in Public Health, taking inspiration (and not only) from the experiences of the University of Milan and of the University of Utrecht, the other European member of the alliance.

Rectors and delegates shared the history, the main recent achievements and the future challenges of the Higher Education Institutions they lead, that have a great opportunity of improving the scientific level of their teaching, being participants of the HARMONEE ERASMUS group. Member universities are very different from each other, from a territorial and cultural point of view. Therefore, to “better know each other”, this session was really fruitful.

The event continued with the study-visit at a local farming business and with the classic tour of the city of Milan, very appreciated by the guests.
