WINTER SCHOOL IN GARGNANO, ITALY, 7th – 14th of March, 2023

In the captivating setting of Gargnano, the Winter School, organised by the University of Milan and the University of Utrecht, served as a testament to the unyielding dedication and remarkable proficiency demonstrated by 27 participants from 7 Central Asian Universities. This gathering marked a significant milestone in an ongoing and fruitful partnership that originated during the Summer School in Bukhara in 2022, coupled with subsequent online webinars under the guidance of tutors Mieke Lumens and Wietske Dohmen.

The Winter School not only provided a platform to showcase the unwavering commitment and high standards of work but also yielded tangible and noteworthy outcomes. The 27 participants actively engaged in the process, contributing significantly to the conceptualization and structuring of nine comprehensive modules centred around Public Health and Occupational Health. These modules had previously taken shape during the Summer School in Bukhara and subsequent online sessions.

The collaboration unfolded amidst the enchanting landscapes of one of Italy’s most picturesque lake districts Gargnano, adding a touch of inspiration to the collective effort. The hard work and commitment invested by all participants culminated in a series of resounding successes, highlighting the efficacy of this international collaboration in advancing knowledge and expertise in the field. The Winter School in Gargnano is a significant achievement, a celebration of collaboration, and a guarantee for future implementation of impactful results

During the Winter School, also a Coordination meeting was held, in order to update each partner regarding administrative and logistic aspects of the project.
